"What inspired me to make this project was with a problem I had with seeing colours and gradients online that I thought would be great to use in my designs but I never found a solution that made it easy to note these colours down in a collection so I made my own. The app stores collections of colours to use in your art/design work later. You can copy each individual hex colour code from a palette or copy a whole list of hex colour codes out. I've spent 2-3 weeks building this app. I spent the first week designing the app using Figma. With the last two weeks, I coded the app using UWP. I wanted really great performance while taking advantage of Fluent Design. One of the things I struggled with when making this app was create a unique control that shows a preview of the colours available in each of your palettes. It took me a while to figure out how it should look and how to show that there are more colours present that aren't in the preview. Accomplishments that you are/your team is proud of One of the things I'm proud of is how great it feels to use the app. With it's clean design and subtle animations, it's an absolute joy to use! Another thing is that this app can even run on devices still on the Windows 10 Anniversary update while still providing a similar high quality experience. From this project, I've learned how awesome the Windows UI Library is! I can use new controls while still supporting versions of Windows that don't have those controls available. What's next is adding the ability to add colours from images and cloud syncing. If you have any more ideas for imporvements, feel free to contact me!"

A little bit about this site

Hello, I'm Corstiaan. I'm a software developer from the Netherlands and I manage BuiltWithDot.Net. I created this site as a place where developers working with .net technology can showcase their projects and inspire other developers.

There's so much you can build with .net these days that I thought it would be nice to have a corner of the web dedicated to the breadth of .net. Enjoy!

What is the .net community working on?
